WE PRESENTED THE FLYER VEHICLE AT THE 2022 NATO DAYS IN OSTRAVA
On the weekend of 17-18 September 2022, at the exceptional NATO Days event in Ostrava, we presented not only our traditional products from the field of ammunition and equipment, but also our cooperation with the American company FLYER DEFENSE, the manufacturer of the legendary FLYER 72 vehicle. It is used by elite special forces and paratroopers in the USA and in other NATO allied armies.
For the first time in the Czech Republic, we showed the FLYER 72 Heavy Duty vehicle, which is used by elite special airborne units in the USA and other NATO countries and was deployed during the alliance campaigns in Afghanistan, Iraq and Syria.
The vehicle is designed for an unprecedented passage through difficult terrain, the possibility of transporting a crew of up to seven members and evacuating the wounded on up to four stretchers. The payload reaches almost 2,600 kg with a range of over 1,000 km on the road and almost 500 km in a combat operation in difficult terrain. The vehicle allows not only a machine gun to be mounted in each vehicle door (the driver sits in the middle in the front, which extends the firepower of the crew), but also main manned and unmanned weapon stations including a 12.7mm machine gun, a 30mm machine gun, an MK-47 automatic grenade launcher or Javelin anti-tank guided missiles or Spike. To ensure the element of surprise, the vehicle is tested according to the most demanding standards for airdrops and helicopter undercarriage.
