Veterans Day – STV GROUP donated CZK 800,000 to the Military Solidarity Fund this year

Every year on November 11, we commemorate Veterans Day – a quiet moment of gratitude to all those who served in war and peace missions. This commemorative day was established to mark the armistice of November 11, 1918, in Compiègne, which ended World War I. In the Czech Republic, it is recognised as an essential day by law. Its symbol is the poppy, which grows on the graves of fallen heroes in Flanders and continues to commemorate their courage and sacrifice today.

STV GROUP has a long-standing partnership with the Military Solidarity Fund. We see this as a natural part of the defence industry's responsibility. To help those who have borne the burden of service so that others can live in safety. Our people value military traditions, colleagues in uniform, and war veterans. "We do not see our support as a gesture, but as a moral obligation based on fairness, teamwork, and respect for heroes, values that are close to our hearts," says Pavel Beran, Director of Special Projects at STV GROUP.

"This year, we are presenting the Military Solidarity Fund with a check for CZK 800,000. The amount is not random—the eighty at the beginning symbolises 80 years since the end of World War II. It is our way of saying thank you to all those who fought for freedom back then, as well as those who protect it today," adds Pavel Beran. Thanks to the Military Solidarity Fund, every crown is used to provide concrete support to war veterans and their families who need it.
