STV GROUP supported the home hospice in Polička
The donation to the Polička Regional Charity will help provide additional weeks of palliative care for patients at the St. Michael Home Hospice.
In January 2026, we supported the Polička Regional Charity with a donation of CZK 300,000 for the activities of the St. Michael Home Hospice. Health insurance companies typically cover palliative care for a limited period, so the charity must cover part of the costs from its own resources. Our contribution will cover approximately 56 additional days of care for one patient, allowing the family to stay together in the comfort and safety of their home.
The St. Michael's Home Hospice provides medical, social, and human support to terminally ill children and adult patients and their loved ones from the entire Svitavy district. We have great respect for the entire team for their dedicated work.
This form of support aligns with our long-term approach to supporting communities across regions. Last year, for example, we helped purchase a utility vehicle for the Equipment Rental Service. We are thus continuing the Baťa legacy and supporting communities wherever we operate, because we take fairness, ethics, teamwork, and responsibility just as seriously as our safety commitments.
