STV GROUP supported firefighters in the Pardubice Region
13/04/2026 - New drones will improve the safety of emergency operations and support firefighting and search-and-rescue efforts.
The Pardubice Region Fire and Rescue Service has recently begun using two modern drones, which will significantly enhance the units’ capabilities during emergency responses, search operations, and reconnaissance in hazardous environments. Their acquisition was supported by STV GROUP, which donated 500,000 CZK. The new technology will help firefighters gain a faster, more accurate overview of the situation at the scene of an incident while also increasing the safety of responding units.
The ceremonial handover of the drones took place at the Polička fire station. Brigadier General Aleš Černohorský, Director of the Pardubice Region Fire and Rescue Service, accepted the drones from Pavel Kudrhalt, Chairman of the Board of Directors of STV GROUP.
The drones are professional DJI Matrice 4TD models designed for deployment in demanding conditions. They will be used primarily during large-scale emergencies, such as major fires or search-and-rescue operations. Thanks to thermal cameras, advanced camera systems, and the ability to conduct detailed aerial monitoring, they will provide the incident commander with valuable information for quick, accurate decision-making.
The second is the compact DJI Mavic 3 Thermal Advanced reconnaissance drone, which will serve the emergency response unit at the Polička fire station. It will enable immediate reconnaissance of the incident site and safe monitoring of the situation even from a greater distance. It is equipped with a telephoto lens with up to 56x zoom and a thermal camera.
The deployment of these drones marks another step in the collaboration between the Pardubice Region Fire and Rescue Service and STV GROUP. “We consider the safety of the people who protect us all to be absolutely essential. We are pleased to have contributed to a project that brings modern technology to firefighters in the Pardubice Region, with a tangible impact on the speed, accuracy, and safety of operations. We have long supported solutions that help protect lives and strengthen the readiness of the integrated rescue system,” says Pavel Kudrhalt, Chairman of the Board of Directors of STV GROUP.
The new drones will be used not only during emergencies in industrial areas but also in searching for missing persons, monitoring large-scale operations, or securing major events. According to the Pardubice Region Fire and Rescue Service, their introduction represents another step in modernising equipment and enhancing the operational readiness of units.
