STV GROUP donated off-road quad bikes to volunteer firefighters from the Frýdlantsko micro-region
New four-wheelers will significantly boost their operational capabilities
STV GROUP, a Czech manufacturer of ammunition and military equipment, donated eight off-road quad bikes worth more than CZK 3.6 million to volunteer fire brigades in the Frýdlantsko micro-region. They were handed over on Wednesday, May 7, 2025, at the town square in Frýdlant in the presence of representatives of all municipalities in the Frýdlantsko micro-region, individual fire brigades, and the management of STV GROUP.
The new quad bikes will significantly improve the response capabilities of volunteer firefighters, especially when responding to incidents in difficult terrain or during emergencies such as floods, fires, or search and rescue operations.
"Volunteer firefighters are often the first to help when lives or property are at stake. Their work deserves not only recognition but also concrete support. We believe that the ATVs will help them respond faster and safer – whether in the forest, in the mountains, or in hard-to-reach terrain," said David Fajfer, head of the STV GROUP ammunition production plant in Hajniště, during the handover.
"A donation of this magnitude to volunteer firefighters is unprecedented in the Frýdlantsko micro-region. These eight quad bikes with trailers will greatly increase the responsiveness and mobility of volunteer firefighting units throughout our territory, where STV GROUP operates. Volunteer firefighters are considered the cornerstone of every community in our region. They are the first to arrive whenever help is needed, and they definitely deserve this kind of support. The STV GROUP deserves a big thank you from all the municipalities in the Frýdlantsko Micro-Region for this support," added Martin Vondráček, mayor of Jindřichovice pod Smrkem.
The Frýdlantsko micro-region is an association of 18 municipalities in the northern part of the Liberec Region. It is characterized by rugged terrain, scattered settlements, and a strong community of volunteer firefighters who have long played a key role in protecting health, property, the landscape, and safety.
The quad bikes will be distributed to individual volunteer fire brigades in eight municipalities (Nové Město pod Smrkem, Višňová, Kunratice, Dolní Řasnice, Pertoltice, Dětřichov, Černousy, and Frýdlant).
Support for volunteer firefighters from the Frýdlantsko Micro-Region is part of STV GROUP's broader social responsibility strategy, which includes long-term support for security forces, educational initiatives, and regional projects wherever it operates.
