STV GROUP donated a new vehicle to the Polička Regional Charity for the delivery of compensatory aids
Půjčovna pomůcek hraje klíčovou roli při zajištění domácí péče v celém regionu.
STV GROUP symbolically handed over a check for a new utility vehicle worth CZK 700,000. The Polička Regional Charity will use the car to deliver compensatory aid, especially in the Polička region. The handover took place in the presence of STV GROUP director Jiří Vaněk, Polička Regional Charity director Petra Zahradníková, and her colleagues.
"We are delighted to be able to support a service that directly impacts the quality of life of people in our region. The Polička Charity Rental Service helps hundreds of families, and we believe that the new vehicle will contribute to its accessibility and flexibility. At STV GROUP, we value the work of people who care for others every day, whether in terms of health, social welfare, or simply on a human level," said Jiří Vaněk, director of the company.
"STV Group's support means more than just a new car to us. It proves that our cooperation includes responsibility for the quality of life of people in our region. We greatly appreciate that STV GROUP sees our work as meaningful and high-quality, and that it will have an impact on the lives of specific people," said Petra Zahradníková, director of the Polička Regional Charity, expressing her appreciation for the cooperation.
The new utility vehicle will be used exclusively for the assistive device rental service operated by the Polička Regional Charity. It will enable the transport of larger equipment, such as adjustable beds with special anti-decubitus mattresses, which are used by patients in home or hospice care and the general public in the Polička region.
Equipment rental service is key to providing home care throughout the region. In 2024 alone, Charita Polička rented out 289 equipment items. The most frequently rented items are oxygen concentrators, wheelchairs, and adjustable beds. However, many other aids are available, from hygiene aids and adjustable chairs to walkers and bed rails. Caregivers and patients often need help quickly and urgently; for example, when a patient is discharged from the hospital, the family has to adapt to the home environment quickly.
Thanks to the new vehicle, Charita can respond flexibly to these situations. The rental service operates independently of Charita's other services. It is open to the general public, regardless of whether people use other forms of support, such as home hospice, health care, or nursing services. The vehicle will therefore significantly contribute to the availability of aids and improve the comfort of patients and their families throughout the Polička region.
