STV GROUP changes its management structure and invests billions in ammunition production in the Czech Republic

Significant change in the management structure of STV GROUP

Following the dynamic growth of the company, it is moving from the current model with a one-member statutory body to a model with a three-member board of directors. This change reflects the strategic needs of the company's further development and strengthens the professional background of the top management.

The main reason for this change is the involvement of experienced professionals from different fields, which will enable more flexible management of the fast-growing company and the realisation of its strategic objectives. The expansion of the number of members on the Board will bring different perspectives on key issues, challenges and opportunities, and will lead to more efficient decision-making processes throughout the organisational structure and enhanced communication. The expansion of the organisational structure at the top level is also aimed at better preparing the company for further expansion and strengthening relationships with customers, government, as well as domestic and foreign industry partners.

The company's strategic goal for the near term is to build a complete production vertical of artillery ammunition in the Czech Republic, from the development of individual components, through their production to their eventual delaboration. The company has prepared CZK 5 billion from its own resources for this major development project. The project will include the domestic production of initiating cartridges, igniters, cartridge bodies, propellant charges and, last but not least, the final laboratory. This step will significantly strengthen the Czech Republic's defence capability and self-sufficiency in a key segment of the defence industry.

The new management of STV GROUP will consist of:

Jan Fulík, Chairman of the Management Board and CEO of STV GROUP a.s., will be responsible for the overall management of the company, improving processes, increasing efficiency and communication with key domestic and foreign customers and partners. Jan Fulík has dedicated most of his professional career to working for the Czech Republic. He joined the civil service in 1990. He has worked for many years in the Czech Republic and abroad in senior positions in defence, security and diplomacy. Among other things, he has held senior positions within the Ministry of the Interior and the Police Force. At the Ministry of Defence he served as Deputy Minister with responsibility for security policy, asset management and central acquisitions. He most recently served as Ambassador to Egypt, Sudan and Eritrea. He holds a National Security Agency clearance at the Secret level.

Ivo Strejček, a member of the Management Board, will focus on projects for the Armed Forces of the Czech Republic, the Police of the Czech Republic and the development of cooperation with strategic foreign partners. He has been with the company since 2020, following previous experience in the economic section of the Ministry of Defence. He studied economics and national economy at the University of Economics in Prague.

Jiří Vaněk, a member of the Management Board, will be responsible for the management of production at the company's main production plant in Polička. His main task will be to work on expanding and streamlining production, expanding the production portfolio and managing development projects. Jiří Vaněk has extensive experience in top management in multinational companies, where he has held positions ranging from technical director to general manager.

The former member of the Management Board, David Hác, who has been with the company for more than 10 years, is moving to the closer management of the entire STV INVEST holding. He will also continue to manage selected key projects within STV GROUP.

This new management structure of STV GROUP reflects the company's strategic focus on growth, strengthening international cooperation and consolidating its position in the defence industry. With the new board of directors, the company is better prepared to face the challenges of the future and fulfil its ambitions at home and abroad.
